On this model I wanted to focus on texturing. I decided to do most of the damage details in Substance Painter rather than the highpoly. Because I felt like it would be less destructive workflow and I'd have a bit more freedom to experiment and try things out. So I kept the highpoly rather clean. This also makes it so that I could use most parts of the highpoly to make other types of bolters as well, if I'd want to.

I didn't mirror the UVs, except for the bullets, because I wanted to have more freedom in texturing and being able to put little unique details on every side of the bolter, so that it would look interesting from every angle in a game or 3D viewer.
